Gran Bajoz takes its name from the Bajoz river that flows near the town of Morales de Toro in Zamora. It is made exclusively with selected grapes and harvested by hand from the Tempranillo variety (Tinta de Toro), from vines up to 100 years old with a small production of 2000 kg per hectare. The grapes are transported to the Pagos del Rey winery in boxes of 15 Kg. The production is l0imited to 5,000 boxes per year.
